The Golden Ring of Russia is one of the most interesting tourist routes in the Russian Federation.
The term Golden Ring was introduced in the second half of the twentieth century.
It unites six regions around Moscow: Vladimir, Ivanovo, Kostroma, Tver, Yaroslavl and
Moscow regions.
There are various Golden Ring route combinations, which go through the ancient towns of Russia such as
Sergiev Posad, Rostov Veliki, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Suzdal, Vladimir and numerous small towns and villages.
The towns preserved the architecture of the middle ages representing the history and culture of Russia.
The Golden Ring tours
usually start in Moscow. Some of the Golden Ring cities can be visited during the day trips from Moscow, other
one require staying overnight at the Golden Ring hotels.
