Kizhi Necklace Tour

06:50 (09:40) - Arrival in Petrozavodsk by train from St. Petersburg (Moscow). Local guide meets for you at the train station.
A short city tour finishes at the hydrofoil terminal.
The guide does not travel to Kizhi and will explain all logistics.
~11:30 - Departure for Kizhi by hydrofoil (1h15min).
~12:45 - A small motorboat waits for you by the pier to take to the guesthouse which is located over the strait, in a small peaceful village. The guesthouse offers private WC and shower in all of its 8 rooms.
After lunch and short rest the motorboat takes you to the Kizhi Island.
~15:45 - The local English-speaking guide waits for you at the tour bureau to show the beautiful open-air museum of wooden architecture of Kizhi, with its Churches of the Transfiguration (1714) and Intercession (1764), chapels and traditional houses.
19:00 - Dinner is served in the guesthouse.
Overnight at the guesthouse.

09:00 - Breakfast at the guest house.
At about 10:00 the motorboat takes you to Kizhi Island where you can walk along the middle and northern parts of the island featuring old villages and chapels.
~14:00 - Return back to the guesthouse and lunch.
~15:00 - After lunch the hosts arrange a transfer to the hydrofoil for the trip back to Petrozavodsk.
~15:45 - Departure by hydrofoil for Petrozavodsk.
~17:00 - After you arrive in Petrozavodsk our driver will meet you and take to the train station.
Train for Moscow leaves at 19:00. If you travel to St. Petersburg at 22:50 you can leave the luggage at the station and have a walk around the town with a dinner at one of the restaurants of Petrozavodsk.

1. Accommodation in standard rooms at the guesthouse "Ersnevo" in the area close to Kizhi Island (rooms with en-suite WC and shower);
2. Car/bus, hydrofoil and motorboat transfers as per itinerary;
3. Meals as per itinerary (B - breakfast, L - lunch, D - dinner);
4. Entrance fees and sightseeing tours as per itinerary.
5. English-speaking guide's services on the sightseeing tours.
Note: English-speaking tour leader's services throughout the whole tour can be arranged for extra payment (see above). Guesthouse workers may not speak English.
