Day 1	~09:00 - Arrival in Kem by the morning train from St. Petersburg. Train from Moscow arrives at night and overnight in Kem is required. Transfer and departure for Solovetsky by boat at ~11:00. Arrival at Solovetsky Island, transfer to the hotel. ~14:30 - 17:30 - Walking tour of Solovetsky Monastery. During the tour we learn about the history of the medieval Monastery, visit its cathedrals and churches, walls and towers of Solovetsky Kremlin. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2	Breakfast at the hotel. ~10:00 - 13:30 - Today we leave for the tour to Zayatsky Island. It is a small tranquil island in about 45 minutes boat ride from the Monastery. The main places of interest of Zayatsky, covered with the tundra-type vegetation are its mysterious stone labyrinths dating back about 4000 years and a small wooden church of St. Andrew (1702). ~15:00 - 17:00 - In the afternoon we proceed with the Solovetsky Gulag history walking tour. Overnight at the hotel. (B)

Day 3	Breakfast at the hotel. Today we have a free day for the special interest Solovki tours. We recommend: hiking trip to Muksalma Island and Mukslama Dam, rowing boat tour along the canals and lakes of Solovetsky, Beluga whale watching tour (available from late June till early August) and visit of the Maritime Museum. Overnight at the hotel. (B)

Day 4	~10:00 - 13:00 - In the morning we travel by bus to Sekirnaya Hill and the Church of Ascension which is also a memorial of the Gulag times. Continue with a tour to the Botanical Garden. Transfer to the pier. 16:00 - Departure for Kem by boat. Upon arrival in Kem transfer to the train station for the evening train to St. Petersburg leaving at ~20:25. Train for Moscow leaves next morning and overnight in Kem is required. (B)
